Burrito, asada fries or the drinks. All 10/10. Quick service good food and great place over all

We're former California's, one native, one long term, who now live in Connecticut.  Not a hotbed of real, authentic Cal Mex and Mexican food.  We haven't been back here since before the pandemic.  The first thing we do is find the closest In N Out to the airport.  The next thing we do is find the best local taqueria.  In LA or OC, that's not too hard a lift.  But we don't know SF and NorCal very well.  So we were flying kinda blind.  We're staying down the street, see this place driving by, and the taco cart out front.  I know what this means, but my wife is seeing this is a bit sketch.  I prevail in staying.

And what a good decision that was.

Carne asada burrito with just the right char on it, unheard of in CT.  Tamales packed with filling and flavor.  Also next to impossible to find in CT without making them yourself (which I can and have done, but who has the time?)

We had become habituated to the comparative CalMex desert that CT is, that we couldn't help ourselves but feed ourselves stupid with dinner here.

We're here for a few days then driving to LA.  We will have to stop by again before we leave. Maybe also when we drive back to leave from SF for NYC.

Love coming here! Not sure about the most recent reviews for Mi Durango, but this spot has been amazing! Food has always been delicious and flavorful. Especially, my favorite Crazy burrito! Something about the nacho cheese and hot Cheetos mix that brings me back to the middle school days. Also, the service is very friendly. Will continue to come back.

I did a lot of digging thru Yelp and doordash before deciding on this place. I'm very happy with my decision. I ordered a taco plate and a quesadilla. When i eat mexican food i always go straight for the carnitas tacos. I'm not a steak or a burrito person unfortunately. The carnitas tacos were really good and had a generous portion of meat. The quesadilla was delicious as well. I love that they have different tortilla options, I've never seen that at any other place. I've tried a couple of different taquerias in the area and this one ranks pretty high in my opinion. I will definitely be ordering from here again.
